To be eligible for the 2020 Awards, the young artist must have been between the ages of five (5) and eighteen (18) when their project was in production. Artists older than 18 are eligible to submit for the 2020 Awards, if they meet this age requirement at the time of production,
The work must have been nationally aired, streamed, televised, released theatrically, or played in a film festival between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019.
A YouTube link to the submission video must be provided on the online Submission Form.
The video can be set to unlisted but must have the 'share' ability to be embedded.
At the start of your video, make sure you have a graphic card (5 seconds) that includes your head-shot, name, nomination category, your age at the time of production and project title.
Submission videos can be any length up to 3 minutes maximum.
If a short-film is 10 minutes or less, it may be submitted in its entirety. If it is longer than 10 minutes, it is suggested that the scenes showing the best performances be edited into a submission video that is no longer than 3 minutes.
For Writer, Producer, and Director submissions, an edited video may be up to 10 minutes maximum in length. A film's trailer, if there is one, is also acceptable.
Make sure the title of the video starts with the young artist's last name, followed by a hyphen (–) and the project name (or an abbreviation.) Example: Last Name–Project Name (note: there are no spaces on either side of the hyphen.)
1) Upload a headshot photo with the Submission Form. This is optional for subsequent submissions.
2) Upload an audio file (MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF, etc.) of the young artist's full professional name being pronounced, with spelling. This will be the name used in all YAA publicity, social media and on the Category Videos during the live gala event.
Tickets for the Awards Gala will be available for purchase after the nominations have been announced in 2020.
2020 Nominees will receive one complimentary admission to the 41st Young Artist Academy™ Awards Gala.
